Two Months
Today marks two months to the day since I joined a gym. Of course I have taken days off (let’s not talk about that third week in January), but I have been going regularly for the last 60 days. And here’s what I have to share:
I have lost right at 30 pounds. 30 pounds!
That’s a toddler.
I understand that’s a mountain to lose in 2 months and I don’t expect the same...
Who says you always want what you can’t have? I can have whatever I want, thank you. The grass is always greener on the other side? Nope. My grass will be the greenest. I’m tired of this “give it up you can’t have it” attitude. If I want it, and someone else managed to get it, then why shouldn’t I have it too?

Year's End
I am always surprised at the end of each year when I compare the things I wanted last year to the things I want this year. For example, my job. Last year at this time I was working my ass off at a job I dreaded waking up for. I despised my boss, I was barely making enough money to survive, and I didn’t have any sort of benefits (the joy of temp work). This year, I have a job I adore working...
I love you. But not in a “hey underpants party” or whatever grownups do when they’re in love. I love you as one loves another person they simply can’t do without.
